Our last blog mentioned how Phoenix police lieutenant Lauri Burgett lied about the kidnapping stats, but used portions of the $1.7M in grant-federal stimulus dollars to buy herself a car, fund a nice trip to England and give herself a Year-Over-Year raise of 37%. This allowed her to earn $240,000 in 2010.Did you know Lauri Burgett also was involved with video company named MONEY DROP PRODUCTIONS LLC with retired cop Sgt.Andy Hill and a videographer? It appears she needed a lot of money and her base pay and overtime weren’t enough! She needed to triple dip with a company that came to Phoenix PD crime scenes to tape of all things – her kidnappings!
Here is the link to the Arizona Corporate Commission showing Lauri Burgett, Andy Hill and a videographer named Donald Sikorski owning a business where videos of illegal aliens and kidnappings were being turned into a TV show.
It appears when the shit was hitting the fan, these creeps tried to dissolve the company, in December 2010. They opened and closed it fairly quickly (May 24, 2010-December 23, 2010).

Think about it for a second.
Any second job or business a cop is involved with, must be approved by the City Manager and can’t be a conflict of interest. So by way of example for layman out there, a cop can’t write tickets and then own a towing company, or work vice and own a strip club or a liquor store, or be a bail bondsman…or be involved with a kidnapping video company and working the kidnapping unit; then obtain federal grant dollars to fund her kidnapping unit by lying about how many kidnappings occurred in the city of Phoenix in 2008!
So Lauri Burgett is a Phoenix cop (the first dip), who lied to obtain a federal grant and federal stimulus dollars. She paid herself handsomely (pun intended based on the photos of her…) in the form of overtime wages (her double dip). Then Lauri Burgett was involved in this video company where this video crew along with retired cop Andy Hill would show up at crime scenes to video kidnappings (triple dip) for a yet to be released kidnapping TV show.
Lauri did fill out the proper paperwork, but left it purposefully vague saying she was merely involved in an extracurricular video company. There was no mention of kidnappings or Andy Hill. Of course she didn’t want anyone to know her video company with Andy Hill was taping her kidnappings. Makes sense why she was vehemently defending the kidnapping stats and doing everything possible to throw Phil Roberts under the bus; even with the far-fetched claim that they were Phil’s bad kidnapping numbers. Makes even more sense why she traveled to England on the taxpayer’s dime even after admitting and knowing the kidnapping stats were a fraud. This travel only padded her curriculum vitae as a resident expert in the field for future videos and future enrichment.
Source have told us retired Phoenix police officer Andy Hill would mysterious appear at random kidnappings, telling the cops on the scene that he was authorized to be there per Mayor Phil Gordon, Jack Harris and Lauri Burgett. Lauri Burgett openly and boldly told everyone that she had absolute immunity in the Phoenix PD. She claimed she was friends with Mayor Phil Gordon and even went so far as to show people his cell phone number programmed into her phone.
This video company MONEY DROP PRODUCTIONS LLC was in the process/is in the process of making a documentary type TV show (think of a COPS type TV drama, with Phoenix PD kidnapping slant to it) to sell the TV networks only to reap more financial gain.

It would be interesting to know if Andy Hill really had this authorization by pill popping mayor Phil OxyGordon and former chief Jack Ass Harris. Not to give any credo to OxyGordon or the Jack Ass, but we are pretty certain at best they knew a video company was being worked, but it is doubtful they shared in any financial gain, except obtaining the federal stimulus dollars for the city of Phoenix. Their gain was politically motivated. Lauri’s gain was purely financial and all about greed. Lauri undoubtedly lied and told people that videotaping was authorized from the top and assumed she had absolute immunity because she herself signed off on, and provided the fraudulent data on the stats that OxyGordon and Jack Ass presented to Congress. What better insurance policy could she have?
It should create great pause with each of you that this happened, not withstanding the Office of Inspector General and the Department of Justice investigations - the antics occurring in Phoenix, Arizona. The rot and corruption is systemic. How does one begin to fix this except for an outside intervention and a house cleaning of everyone?
We now have a greater understanding and reasoning why covering up the fraudulent kidnapping stats was so acute and why this lying cunt Phoenix police Lieutenant Laurel Burgett tried to lay blame on Phil Roberts and retaliated against him. Her and her husband’s livelihood was at risk and Phil Roberts was the bump in the road ruining Jim and Lauri Burgett’s big payola! We will venture to guess an audit of the Burgett’s tax return for 2008, 2009, or 2010 has tons on police related write-offs, for MONEY DROP PRODUCTIONS LLC netting them a quadruple dip!
We know this is working its way through the system. The city manager, Dave Cavasos has been informed. Acting chief Joe Yahner knows and PSB has begun an investigation into Lauri Burgett. If she hasn’t already, should be on paid leave soon.
Let’s see if she really has immunity from Phil OxyGordon and what asst. city Manager Ed Zuercher and city manager David Cavasos are doing about this. Think these two spineless pussies will act accordingly and say ENOUGH! It’s doubtful based on their prior inactions.
Since the OIG and DOJ read this blog, they now too know about Lauri Burgett’s antics and video company. We sure hope OIG comes back with an indictment of Lauri Burgett and hauls this unethical snatch away in handcuffs.
And if the Burgett’s want to beat OIG to the punch, there is one last out…

13-2310. Fraudulent schemes and artifices; classification; definition
A. Any person who, pursuant to a scheme or artifice to defraud, knowingly obtains any benefit by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, promises or material omissions is guilty of a class 2 felony.

Lauri Burgett was called into PSB by Joe Yahner. She was defiant that everyone knew about this company and claimed that it was approved by Andy Anderson and Phil Gordon. An investigation has started and I hear Dave Cavasos is livid. The OIG should have this by now.

Seems a lot of internal video was taken. Did she get permission to take all that video inside her office, inside detective wrk areas? What about the video of the photo line up machine and all the other internal meetings going on. Releases would need to be signed by each officer and suspect that was put on this video. I doubt it! Looks liek she violated several internal policies. She was paid on City time to make this video she was part owner of? Major conflict of interest. My god, what is going on inside VCB? This was all done right under the nose of the commander and the entire floor fo detrectives.

Racism is alive and well on the Phx PD. I am all for Bin Laden being killed but this shows how cops are racist and bigots and unless exposed, nothing is done. Here is a post from a social network site. The officer has bragged many times about being a motor cop and waiting outside bars to nail DUI's, which is against policy. Motor cops are the worst. Most we find to be assholes, although we count many among our best supporters (they gave Jeff the Phoenix PD hat with the wings on it because Harris was a motor and was the biggest insult they could think of). Motors are by nature angry assholes. You try riding a motorcycle, all day, everyday in this heat.
Motors often refer to themselves as “the fighter pilots” of the Phoenix PD. Since they are on bikes, their entire job is related to traffic. You will never talk yourself out of a ticket with a motor.
Most have recommended that if a motor is ever behind them (or any douchebag on a bike), you should empty your windshield wiper fluid on them. It won’t help you get out of a ticket, but it is fun to watch them eat your overspray!
Personally, I think Officer Dave Hay was the biggest dickhead motor I ever met! Have you seen him lately? He is bald and looks like death warmed over!

I saw the off duty work authorization was signed by none other than Chief James Pina. Why isn't he held accountable for failing to ask the right questions before authorizing Burgett's permit? Pina's failure to do his job has given Burgett a "pass" on yet another serious infraction which leads everyone to beleive she infalted the kidnapping numbers to bolster the popularity of her television show. C'mon Yahner, hold Pina coountable. You got him by the balls! Show rank and file that Executive Staff cannot get away with not doing their job! We expect more!

Update on Drenth: Seems Lt. Balloon Knott is trying to get his 15 minutes of fame by making media appearances. You have blooged about Burgett making a ton of OT money but nothing comes close to what Knott has been stealing from the City. He claimed to have made over $200K last year alone, yes, $200K. That is over $100K in OT, for a guy that never, ever writes one single police report. Did you know Knott is paid around $60.00 a day to be available to respond to murders, the same unit he is in charge of? He gets paid just to be available, $60.00 per day times 365 days a year. What a waste. This guy has no clue about murder investigations and collects as much as he can in OT for doing nothing! The only function of a homicide LT is at police shootings, so he can explain tot he involved officer(s) what their legal rights are and how things will work. And the department will say officers are not treated any different compared to the average citizen. What citizen, weather a justified shooting or not, gets a briefing on their rights? NONE!! All officers do and Knott gets paid HUGE bucks to brief them, and all the OT. He is always bragging about his new BMW and how big his retirement and DROP account will be. He will be one of the highest paid retirees ever! Read this quote about Drenth, from ABC15.com, At a Friday afternoon news conference, Lt. Joe Knott told reporters, "Absolutely nobody believes that Sean Drenth killed himself." I have personally talked to homicide detectives, who both work on the case and who don't, who think Drenth killed himself and that it was obvious. However, Knott will not allow that to be said publicly as he does not believe it. So much for an unbiased investigation.
I hope this will cause the City to look into how much Knott is stealing from the City and an outrage how much he gets paid to "be available" to do the job he was assigned to do. It just amazes me how much he makes and he never, ever, interviews anyone, investigates any murder, works any crime scene- nothing at all to do with a murder investigation. Unfucking believable how much he is stealing from the City and the hard working patrol officers are not allowed to even get an hour of OT and we are all forced to give furlough days to the City. Reel that guy's OT and standby pay in and it would save well over $100K per year in funds. Now add up all the LT's who get the standby pay and the big OT checks for doing no investigative work at all and you are looking at over $1million per year in savings.
Time for another audit or investigation into how much the LT's make.

I understand the double dipping thing with Harris and maybe Laurie Burgett. But am I understanding BPC, that using a skill earned on the police department to open a business or LLC during or after your employment is Double dipping or even triple dipping??? Are you saying officers working off duty security or off duty traffic or crime scene/traffic accident reconstruction for defense attorneys, air unit pilots flying for news channels, marksmanship instructors teaching at shooters world, etc...THAT's double dipping????
