We have said time-and-again the entire Phoenix PD is in CYA mode (Cover Your Ass) over the fraudulent kidnapping stats chief Jack Ass Harris and mayor Phil OxyGordon presented to Congress.
If you read our blog regularly, you will know that officer Phil Roberts sent numerous memos to the city which we (and we assume Phil and others), forwarded to the OIG, prompting the current audit and the subsequent criminal investigation.

Officer Roberts brought these fraudulent kidnapping stats to the attention of city manager David Cavasos, assistant city manager Ed Zeurcher and practically everyone in Phoenix city leadership, and it is a well known fact he thought the stats we wrong from jumpstreet.
We obtained this recording of Phoenix police lieutenant Lauri Burgett where she admits the stats were inflated. But in a bold and brazen move, she refers to them as “Phil Roberts inflated stats” in an attempt to lay blame elsewhere. Remember what we mentioned about CYA?

Phoenix police Lieutenant Lauri Burgett tries to pin the blame on two cops - Phil Roberts and commander Klima, as if she was ordered to cover something up and tried to ‘fix” things.
Listen to her, "I told you so..." voice as she attempts to place the fradulant kidnapping stats on her boss and Phil Roberts! After at least a dozen Phil Robert’s memos - after him getting demoted for pointing out the fraudulent kidnappings, this worthless snatch had the audacity to refer to them as “Phil’s kidnapping stats?”
So if Lauri Burgett knew the stats were wrong for so long (at least when Phil and she were working together back in 2009 as this recording demonstrates), why wouldn’t she call mayor Phil on his cell phone or tell chief Jack Ass before they went to England?

You got one thing wrong. Klima is not a decent cop. He is a lying piece of shit who will fuck over anyone if it makes him look bad, just ask P. Roberts and anyone else. He has been lying for many, many years, hoping to become an Asst. Chief. He is always in the position to do the right thing but he never does if there is any, I mean any, slight chance of conflict that will make him look bad. Look back what he did to Barnes and how he could of made that turn out better. He covered up the Polombo affair, covered up all the crime lab stuff, knew all about the EEOC violations going on Knott was doing but choose to lok the other way. Klima was the one who said the "swab" from the Goudeau case was "mis-placed" giving his reason for it not being tested.
Mark my word, Klima is as dirty as they come and he hides behind his good ole religion that is is a good old mormon boy. FUCK Klima, may he rot with the rest of them!!

Chief Andy Anderson is seen stating, "Phoenix is in the eye of the storm."
As it turns out, the "storm" never arrived.
Will Andy Anderson be investigated and terminated for making this false statement? He was Division Commander for the Investigations Division back in 2008. He was responsible for the 358"kidnappings" investigated and counted as kidnappings. He was responsible for knowing if these stats were wrong or right. Chief Anderson cannot say, "well, that's what my guys told me."
Will the police department and city managers hold this son-of-a-bitch accoutable for lying?
Will AZPOST go after his certification?
Will someone please do their job and hold Chief Anderson accountable? He was in charge of the investigations in 2008 and then went on National Television stating, "Phoenix is in the eye of the storm."
If Chief Anderson would have been doing his job in 2008 instead of "chasing skirt" at work, he would have had the numbers correct.
Then, Chief Harris and Mayor Gordon wouldn't have gone to Congress and made fools out of the entire City of Phoenix by begging for federal monies since Chief Anderson's numbers showed Phoenix to be the "Kidnapping Capital of the World."
Chief Anderson started this mess; HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE!
Gordon and Harris, you want out of this mess; just hold Chief Anderson accountable and admit he is to blame. The citizens will accept this. The police department will save face as everyone will accept there was a "bad apple" in the Excetuive Staff.
Can you imagine if Chief Anderson gets a job at HIDTA and makes a similar mistake? Arizona could lose millions of dollars in federal money that is put aside to combat drug trafficking.

But local authorities say Washington, DC is too obsessed with al Qaeda terrorists to care about what is happening in their own backyard right now.
"We're in the eye of the storm," Phoenix Police Chief Andy Anderson told ABC News of the violent crimes and ruthless tactics spurred by Mexico's drug cartels that have expanded business across the border. Chief Harris and Mayor Gordon, this is what you need to get your investigation into what started this whole mess. Had Chief Anderson been doing his job, this entire mess would have never begun.
Don't blame Phil Roberts. Phil was just reporting what he knew were to be incorrcet statistics that Chief Anderson was running around the country telling anyone who listened. Unfortunately, Chief Harris and Mayor Gordon listened to the bullshit flowing out of Chief Anderson's mouth and repeated it to the US Congress.

I hear Chief Anderson is dropping his resume all over the place looking for a job after he retires in April. This son-of-a-bitch doesn't deserve to work the graveyard security shift at the local AM/PM store!
I am a 20 plus year veteran of the department. All of my friends and I have been under PSB investigation at one time in our career. These investigations take 8-12 months to complete, all of which we sit around worrying, losing weight, unable to sleep at night, unable to enjoy family events; all while worrying "what is going to happen to me."
While under investigation, you know that your assistant chief knows your status in your investigation. Even so, everytime you see your chief, he/she says nothing to calm you so you continue to worry.
What I love about this entire OIG investigation is that the tables have been turned on Chief Harris, Chief Pina and Chief Anderson. None of you have any idea what the OIG is doing or what your status is in YOUR investigation. The only person who knows what YOUR status is Phil Roberts! Phil has each of you by the balls. Remember this everytime you pass him in the hall.
