but behind the scenes BadPhoenixCops mounted their own letter campaign to all city council members and the news media of San Bernardino. It appears to have worked. They passed on Rob Handy as their police chief. We also know of a slew of retired and sworn officers who sent their own letters to the media and to city council.
Sources close to the situation in San Bernardino have informed us that Rob Handy, “…Has about as much chance of becoming the police chief in San Bernardino, as Mike Polombo has finding a pair of pants that fit and getting those nameplates back! We had an over abundance of skeletons sent to us by fellow cops, on Mr. Handy and he will not be the police chief in San Bernardino.”

We will continue our campaign against all dirty douchebag cops (like Phoenix police commander Rob Handy), who screwed over a lot of good cops. Even if these FOJs surreptitiously end up getting a job in another city, we will send the information to their new employer with the goal of getting them terminated for the dirty deeds they committed in Phoenix. We will also request each and every job application that is filled out by an FOJ to see if they disclosed fully their indiscretions (and if applicable - their crimes) as a dirty cop in Phoenix. In a move that baffled even us, Long time BRADY veteran Jeff Hynes has decided to retire.
Jeff Hynes just entered DROP but is walking away from a large amount of retirement coin. Perhaps he’s so fed up with the Phoenix PD, he doesn’t care? Rumor has it he doesn’t even have a job lined up (we think he does, teaching somewhere and we’ll post it here when we find out…) but it's his final move that gives us hope that Jeff finally grew a set of testicles – Jeff Hynes is having his retirement party at the PLEA office! That's Jeff's way of saying Fuck You to the 4th floor.
We constantly hear that Hynes was a good guy, caught up in the bullshit system of stupidity by Jack Harris. Don't send us your lame emails defending this asshat. We will stand our ground and still think Hynes could have done some good deeds and made some wrongs, right.

FYI - I heard that, "Commander Jeffeory Hynes
is a Professor at Arizona State University, and that he teaches Criminal Justice Classes at ASU." I don't remember, "Where I heard this, and who stated it." All, I know is that I took a Criminal Justice Class one semester, and I don't know, "If, my own Professor mentioned this, or another student." You are right, "Commander Jeffeory Hynes should NOT be teaching; especially, not a University Level. And, then to make matters worse, Commander Jeffeory Hynes is on The Brady List for the Phoenix Police Department. Please, Check into Information.

One of the main issues I had with Rob Handy is his non-stop serious looking facial expressions and personality. What you see in this photo is exactly what he looks like 24/7. The guy needs to lighten up and quit looking and acting like Mike McCort. Look what Mike McCort got in the end!

I know this blog is about Rob Handless but I want to share a story with you about another idiot.
I was reading them 10-7 retirement bulletin yesterday and saw that Jim Pina is the second most senior person on the PPD.
I used to work with Jim Pina. I remember when he saw people like Ron Gaillard, Dave Thomas and Conrad ???, Ron Mitchell and others on the bulletin listing them as senior most active employees Pina always had something bad to say about them. Pina made comments like, "That shitbag needs to leave, they are wasting good oxygen," and "What a bunch of deadbeats," and "They should have left along time ago," and "why do we allow these deadbeats to stay?
Now that Pina is the second most senior person what does he say about himself? Probably nothing as he only thinks about himself. Pina never realized that these other old timers stayed around to feed there families or make a better retirement, no. Now Pina is one of these "free loaders" as he used to call them.
Pina is now a dinosaur and needs to leave now!

You may be acting nice to everyone now that your protector is gone to save you but everyone sees through this. Your peers are going to demote you when given the chance. So refreshing to see that the Phoenix Police Officers Union (PLEA) finally figured out that there is a law enforcement Code of Ethics. (See the PLEA Recap monthly magazine, May 2011 page 4.) PLEA leadership is apparently surprised that their members are being held accountable to compliance with the Code. Amazing that they never read the Code before. Perhaps now they can serve the taxpayers instead of themselves.

Handy shot and killed a gangster years ago, in the back! He got away with that one. No one knew quite how but he had friends in high places way back during that time. He was in gang squad when that took place. He was labeled a "hero" when Jeff Dauer took one in the leg, ultimately losing his leg, but Handy rode that for years, and still does, like he was the one who was shot!
He also tried to screw over H. Silbert in his shooting years ago by trying to make "on scene" commands and decisions and direct the investigation, trying to lead the investigators to make Heston's shooting appear as a "bad shoot" and get him kicked out of SAU. Never had a commander injected himself into a shooting of one of their own and try and steer it wrong like Handy did that day. Just shameful how Handy acted, going around to all the investigators asking questions and making statements to everyone, playing them off one another. Luckily it was stopped and he was asked to back off.
The only thing wrong with all the publicity of Handy to San Bernardino is now we are suck with him for many more years. Just watch, he will be an Asst. Chief here one day. PLEA and BPC- You should have kept your mouth shut until he was gone from PPD and then opened up on him after he was in California. That would have been the ultimate!
We actually thought about letting him go to San Bernardino, then letting loose. We felt that that was like closing the barn door after the horses left.
While we agree we are now stuck with douchebag Handy, the sweetest justice is having Rob know that a blog and a police union fucked him out of a job he wanted!

It's just like school - all the bad kids get all the attention and the good ones go unnoticed. I know it would not really fit in with the purpose of your site, but I thought I would throw that suggestion out there. Keep up the good work.

There is an actual selection committee made up of citizens who sit on a selection board to hear public comments about the applicants who are being considered for a seat in any court. You can speak at these hearings.
