If you don’t know this story, Asst. Chief Tracey Montgomery was at a function and told a junior cop to remove his 9/11 pin because (we guess) it violated uniform policy.
So this Asst. Chief approached an officer and told him to remove his pin???

Was it really that important? Were his shoes not spit-shinned for the photo?
If I recall correctly there wasn't there an incident in Glendale where Asst. Chief Montgomery was involved in a Mexican stand-off with 2 other ladies, and also retired Sergeant Charlie Gwinn had to do surveillance at her house in Ahwatukee after her neighbors complained about the unusual activity going on which lots of woman appeared to be going and coming (no pun) at all hours? Did this violate policy Tracey? Were uniforms involved in your indiscretions, or were they simply crumpled up on the floor in a big pile?
And then there are photos of 2 other Asst. Chiefs (Road Rage Anderson and Pena) photographed with the same pin in what looks to be their senior picture photos? (Andy....the dreams over Dude....lose the comb over...) - Did you tell them too to remove their pins?

Ms. Montgomery, we know cops love donuts, but you have taken that to a level most of us can't simply imagine. We have no objection to a woman who likes the hooch - many of us here posting like it ourselves - but please...to bug some cops over pins?
How about no open mouth kissing at public functions, no public displays of drunkeness, no wild parties and start acting like a leader? You have been given and blessed with an immense amount of responsiblity. Grow up and start acting like an adult.
Leadership is about setting examples and taking charge...I would suggest you read Rudy Giuliani's book on Leadership and stop worry about the damn petty pins. The pins aren't the Broken Windows. You are!

Tracy Montgomery, is inept and a failure as a leader. Everyone knows why she is in the position she is....Regarding her parties? You dont even know the half of it. Most of them involve Lieutenants and Seargants and Commanders. They have parties in Ahwatukee and Phoenix and Chandler,involve major drinking, nudity and sex.
She cant handle the position or the responsibility. She is obsessed with the uniform because its all she has control over. She is a control freak and manipulative. She knows how to talk her way out of situations, but for how much longer. The truth will come out, the truth will come out.
Double standards always apply to the upper management in PPD. If this was an officer acting this way, they would have been fired long ago. Great site!!!!
She is a liar!!! Cant trust her, cant trust people she associates with either. Try having to work with her and her double standards. Unless you of course are her friend, buddy, or even her girlfriend or someone she is just donut bumping with, then nothing happens....things get lost, forgotten about etc its such BS

This post really reflects how management focuses on stuff that is meaningless. Tracey is a dipshit and was only promoted because she brings a certain part of the "rainbow" to the forth floor and not because she was assistant chief material. In fact most of management is sub-standard. Tracey is obsessed with the uniform because of her friend Soha. They don't like the polo shirt uniform even though it is more comfortable and functional. So they nit-pick the blue suit. Then in civilian clothes she looks like she shops at Target. She makes all that money and looks like someone who works in a book store in Tempe.
Soha created the honor guard uniform based on the Marine Corps Alpha uniform. He is obsessed with turning the honor guard into he own "Marine Corps Mafia." The majority of the honor guard can't stand him or Tracey.
Half the Honor Guard can't stand Steve Soha...are you kidding? Other than the Carpet Muncher, who does like Steve?
That's because Soha shares his stripper girlfriend with Tracy. Hey Soha, saw you have the same purple colored rock as Snodgrass in his front yard. Do you take appts or are walk-ins okay.
It is interesting to read these posts. You can go back to when Tracy took the Lieutenants test for promotion. She failed the written until filing appeals on questions. The appeals were granted and she had a passing grade. Ironically, she went through with the rest of the process and via the oral board and assessment center, she found her way in the top 5 of her list. Amazing. Bottom of the list after an objective written exam, top of the list after subjective/special interest driven oral board and assessment.
In reference to protecting a crony, I was at the funeral where Steve Soha verbally threatened/assualted a fellow lieutenant. Those actions were brought to the attention of the PPD and Tracy Montgomery and nothing was done. Tracy protected Steve again. Any other member of the PPD Honor Guard would have been removed from duty.
There has not been mention of the Honor Guard banquet that was held more than a year ago and was supposed to be an annual event. The Honor Guard, their spouses, other police agencies and certain members of the public were invited.
Steve Soha became intoxicated and started heckling and cat calling during a presentation. His comments were crude, rude and offensive. They offended the spouses of police officers and civilians attending the event. At one point, Tracy knew they were in very poor taste because she told him to quiet down. There were many voices of complaint after that event. What happened to Steve Soha? Nothing. Tracy protected him.
The PPD was formally made aware of the incident by a complaint to PSB by a PPD supervisor and there was no investigation. Tracy ensured that Steve was given guidance, period. Any other member of the Honor Guard would have been disciplined and removed.
This is an irony as Steve and Tracy suspended an Honor Guard member for a year for being late to events/missing events. So, being late/missing an event is more reprehensible then using foul language, referencing female body parts, etc in a public domain?
Tracy's entire career has been one of special treatment, manipulation, lying, etc.
How about the year (2007) the Honor Guard went to DC for National Police Week and she provided accommodations for one female member of the Honor Guard. Everyone else had to pay for their own rooms. Tracy used city management development funds to pay for her trip/room and allowed the female, who was recently divorced by a PPD LT because of her activities with Tracy and Steve Soha, to stay in her room for free. Does anyone see a trend here?
Oh yes, Commanders and above are allowed to use city management development funds to pay for their trip to Nat'l Police Week, but lieutenants and below are not. So, the officers who make the least and are injured/killed the most (can you name the last PPD Commander or Assistant Chief killed in the line of duty?) are not allowed to use their development funds to go an honor their comrades, but management can?
As for the lieutenant that Soha verbally threatened and assualted don't worry this guy has been crapped on and wronged for so much in years past by these ASS CLOWNS .....he's the #1 lieutenant senority for PPD, Ass Clowns refuse to promote him to commander because he tells it like it is and refuses to sell his SOUL. His resume speaks volumes. Brought in by STANTON/PSB for BOGUS investigations....(Keep it up Stanton you will go down with the ass clowns too!) UNFOUNDED!!!
This Lieutenant has been passed by on internal transfers by someone that has 1 year or less as a Lieutenant and continues to be passed over on selective process. This is the guy that started the honor guard...not Tracie and Soha (Get your facts straight you two idiots). So now the troops can actually see how their Union Represenation and Affiliation blows back in your face. This BULLDOG of a Lieutenant goes head to head and some times the jugular and doesn't hesitate to take it across the street for the troops and embarrasses the 4th floor. He is loved by his officers and other Seargants, Lieutenants, and Commanders. He will have the last laugh!!!
I couldnt agree more about the lieutenant who could have and should have kicked Sohas ass in front of God and everyone else. This is a righteous man who has the respect of most every person in the department reagrdless of their rank. PSB goes after this man only in their attempt to silence him. Well it dosen;t work! This man stands up for those who have been bullied, let down, and taken advantage of by command staff. He also has the balls to stand up to idiots in PPSLA like th Preseident, Mark Half-brain. All sergeants and lieutenants: if you think PPSLA supports you, you couldn't be further from the truth. Much like the 4th floor, PPSLA would be lost without this man. Hey Mark; everyone knows you run PPSLA in a manner to enhance your chances of getting promoted to commander some day. It will never happen. The 4th Floor loves you because you are a pussy and sell out your members. Learn from this man and begin standing up for what is right for the employee, not what is right for you! You are an idiot and I cant stand to look at your bald ass head! You support the deprtment's position on non-enforcmet of immigration issues, is it because you are married to a Mexcian immigrant yourself? A woman you met in Mexico while on the language-exchange program? Is it true your personal vehilce license plates make reference to topless bars in Mexico? I think so!
God bless this most senior lieutenant in the department for everything he does to support those who need it most!
