The Phoenix Police Gun Buy-Back Program? PLEASE! Sell You Old, Tired, Gentle Used Guns on Backpage.com and Save Yourself the Headache! Here’s Our Own Public Service Announcement

Every year the Phoenix PD has one of the dumbest, most obtuse programs with their meager attempt to get guns off the streets.  It’s the Buy-Back Program.  Supposedly if you have a gun that you no longer use or don’t want, turn it into the Phoenix PD for a $50 gift certificate.

This is so bad on so many levels, but mainly because of pure capitalism. Anyone may go to a website like www.backpage.com and sell a used firearm for a whole lot more than $50, unless of course it’s a shitty Lorcin.  One can easily get $200-$400, based on the type of gun...sometimes more!  Now wouldn't you rather have CA$H than a shitty $50 gift certificate from the Phoenix PD?  In most cases people will come to you to give you the money!

Police make it seem like owning, possessing and keeping a firearm is a very bad thing and use scare tactics like misfirings while cleaning or handling a gun.  If you know anything about a gun, this is virtually impossible (we simply can't understand how a gun can misfire while one cleans it.  For the novice, cleaning involves removing the magazine and all rounds...) and we firmly believe that if your gun misfired while you were cleaning it, then you are a moron and meant to die, and that bullet missing you was God's Mulligan.

It's all part of the poison and venom cops spread to control us.  They want to be the only one's with guns so when they bust down your door or are climbing your walls in your backyard, you down blow them away with your Mossberg.   Guns aren’t shot every day by citizens (how is a loaded gun in your dresser a "problem" and why the need for you to get rid of it?), and we encourage everyone to exercise their 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms.   It is much harder to buy a new gun, then keep an old one.  There are many forms to fill out, background checks and sometimes waiting periods.

But if you feel you must get rid of your gun, then you can post any gun on www.backpage.com .  In Arizona you may freely buy and sell firearms to and from anyone, without a background check and without involving cops or the Feds - FOR CASH  If you have a firearm and are looking to sell it or get rid of it, then feel free to contact us and we will share with you much better ways to dispose of and recycle firearms, without involving law enforcement.

And if you need a gun and don't want anyone to know you own one, go to  www.backpage.com  where you can find just about any handgun, shotgun or rifle for sale.

We know 13,000 people see this site each month and it is our hope to protect you from the Phoenix PD and any PD.  Never talk to cops and never, ever give them an old gun.  You’re only asking for trouble – especially if you find a gun and think you can turn it in and get some money.  If you found one, rest assured someone else wanted to lose it and the only reason people want to “lose” guns is because they don’t want to be tied to it.

And if you have a gun and are worried about kids/wives gaining access to it – those unfounded fears that the cops try to put in your head - then take a firearms safety course and make sure everyone in your house hold can load, unload, fire and clean a firearm.  Don't be afraid of guns and let cops get into your head.  Respect firearms and learn how to handle them.

And that gun you "sell" to Phx PD gets record checked and if used in a crime, guess who comes a knocking and if by chance in a homicide, that means a Potato Head might show up at your door.

I was a cop for 25+ years. Its true. Adter LJ left and Hoover came in, they all hate him. Its like night and day. Someone polished and professional to a drunk like Stan Hoover.

On the gun topic, Lets say we are looking for a Glock 17 that was used in a homicide and you turn in a Glock 17 on the trade in program. You get a $50 gift certificate and we have your finger prints and DNA. If you hand over anything to the police, make sure you have thoroughly wiped it down with about a dozen Clorox wipes, handle in with gloves and keep it in a zip lock baggie. But like the blog says, unless it is a warrant and they take it, I would never give anything to any police department. If they want something, they are analyzing it, so throw it away.

If you have to destroy a gun for whatever reason you need to destroy the barrel. Find a drill press and a drill bit slightly larger than the barrel. Completely drill out the barrel so all the rifling is destroyed and marred. Then cut the barrel in half or into 3 pieces if you can. Throw away all 3 pieces in separate garbage cans. Once in Phoenix, one in Tucson and one at your cabin in Flagg!

If you are buying and selling guns on backpage you need to be smart. Meet in open public areas and just be aware the type of individual you are buying or selling to. If he looks creepy and the gun appears below market value, then walk away. You don’t want to get caught with a weapon used in a crime. On the flip side if you sell your gun to someone of surreptitious character, just make sure you save the phone, email and try for the name and address, if that gun is ever used in a crime in the future and it can be traced back to you. For the novices out there, anytime you buy a new gun they give you one round that was fired through that gun, to submit to you local or national ballistics department. This is so if that gun is ever used, they have the ballistics. If you buy a gun, throw that round out and never give in to anyone. Keep the little piece of paper it came it and write on it DESTROYED. If people buying your gun know this ballistics round was not submitted, your gun will have a higher value and is truly untraceable.

That’s my public service announcement. Love the blog and keep up the good work and fuck Stan Hoover and the Polombos.

What do I want for X-mas you ask?

I want to see Jim Pina supersize his Double Meat Whopper combo and choke on a piece of the bun.

I keep seeing Stan Hoovers name. I want to share my thoughts about Stan the Man. Stan destroyed morale in SAU. Stan destroyed many careers when he was in PSB. Stan is not popular in MVP and will likely create havoc at some point. Someone will piss him off and Stan will forget policy and do a doody on him or her. Ron Snodgrass and Stan were inseparable for years. Ron eventually crashed and burned not once, but twice before retiring. I pray for those who work around Stan Hoover. He is just a copy of Snodgrass. You have all been warned.

Here is another who does not care for Lt. Hoover. Do not trust him. I wish he would leave the precinct.

The best part about Lt Hoover is when he sexually harrassed a female sergeant when he was in PSB last year. That is why Lt Hoover is back in patrol. He got kicked out of PSB. This says volumes about the kind of guy he is. PSB is suppose to police the police. They are not suppossed to sexually harass women. This is kind of like a homicide detective going out and killing people then expecting to get away with it.

Everyone in the precicnt knows about Lt Hoover. No wonder he has no credibility or respect of the troops. We just snicker when he trys to tell us to do something. Wonder if he is looking at the women officers in the precinct to get in their pants?

Lieutenant Hoover needs to go to the dentist and have his teeth cleaned. He also needs to stop with the comb over with his hair. I laugh everytime I see him in the precinct.
