Eric Edwards (Jack Harris' buddy and attorney in the Phoenix PD) tried everything to not let us get this document. He went to asst. city manager Ed Zuercher and told him (along with city manager David Cavasos) to not release it to us. Remember Eric's phraseology in his first response, "...if it exists it is not in the control of the Phoenix Police Department Custodian of Records." Eric knew damn well it existed. It was a letter to Jack Harris and they want us to all think that Jack himself and his attorney didn't have it or know about it? Liars.When Eric Edwards met with Ed Zuercher, Eric actually tried to say that our public records request was wrong because technically this isn’t titled a “Letter of Reprimand.” Since that’s what we asked for, Eric did not want to honor it. We guess techically it isn't a Reprimand, and we want to thank Ed Zuercher for "manning up" and doing the right thing.
This just goes to show you what dirty, coniving, underhanded cops like Eric Edwards will do to lie and cover-up for their pals. Eric Edwards represents everything you never want to see in a cop and what makes it doubly worse is he is both a dirty cop and a dirty lawyer.

constitute a lie? Isn't Eric Edwards a sworn police officer?

I have been a member of PLEA for a very long time and have many
friends who are Trustees, Board Members, Reps, etc. I have always
supported everything PLEA has done...until now!
I saw a high-ranking PLEA Board Member this week and was extremely
disturbed by what I was told by him. I asked this Board Member if
they were still working to have Chief Harris replaced for all of
his incompetence, unfair transfers, unethical behavior, refusal to
meet with PLEA, lying about his trip to Israel, his relationship
with Mayor Oxycontin, etc. This Board Member responded by telling
me, "We are not worrying about Harris right now; we are trying to
preserve officer positions due to the budget crisis."
I thought to myself, "what the fuck?" Why isn't PLEA now using
Harris' stance on the Immigration Bill to get him removed?
NOTE to PLEA...you wanna save "officer postions," how about mine?
With Harris's position on the immigration bill, I could lose my
position by death at the hands of some illegal I encounter on the
street while doing my job. I dont' want to lose my "officer
position" at the hands of some illegal fuck who is armed with a
AK47 like the Pinal County Sheriff Deputy almost did today. Hey
PLEA, did ya think of that?

The above article is about a Pinal County Sheriff's Deputy who was
shot by five illegals with AK47's after the Deputy caught them with
a load of marijuana in the desert south of Phoenix.
Now, the second, below article is about how Jack Harris doesn't
approve of the new Immigration Law.
Shame on you Jack Harris! I guess you don't give a shit about all
the cops that are killed by these illegal assholes. You make me

I have to agree. Just the fact that Chief Harris won't sit down
with, or allow any of his chiefs to sit down with, PLEA Executive
Board Members is enough to get rid of him.
PLEA represents the majority of PPD officers whether Chief Harris
likes it or not. Part of his job is to meet with PLEA to discuss
current issues, much like the new Immigration Law change. Chief
Harris refusal to do so makes him lame duck as far as I am
concerned. Along with the fact that Chief Harris doesn't support a
new law that allows us to arrest illegals before they are given
chance to kill us is intolerable.
Whats next, take away our ballistic vest allowance to keep money in
the budget?
PLEA: get on board and get Chief Harris out or I am also switching
to FOP!
Seems PLEA members are finally starting to wake up. PLEA is double faced, and they do what is more good for them versus the membership. Deals are made behind closed doors that affect officers every week. Harris does communicate with a few PLEA board members, behind the scenes. The FOP would never stand for any of this. PLEA gave away our raises when they should have stood their ground. The future is looking like an FOP bargaining unit; it will just take some time and get people behind it. PLEA is no union as no union would allow what is going on right now. Real unions, like the ones back east, would have some actual power and do something about Harris and all the issues that are raised on this blog and on the streets daily with the officers.
I agree, shame on you PLEA! You guys need to step up and get these issues resolved. Suggestion: stop paying Levi Bolton and get some one in there that can make a difference. Get a union lawyer that does not have so many personal relationships with people in upper management and will make a difference.

Lets see; everyone is concerned about losing money from conventions that are going to cancel due to the passage of HB1070.
Yesterday afternoon, a Pinal Count Sheriff's Deputy was shot and left to die in the desert like an animal after being ambushed by five illegal drug smugglers from Mexico. The Sheriff's Office said over 250 officers from multi-jurisdictions are helping try to locate the illegals in a ten mile radius. Let me do the math:
250 officers
X
$100 hour (overtime)
x 24 hours
= $600,000.00
And they haven't even caught the bastards yet!
I'd rather save this $600,000.00 by locking these bastards up the first time police get a chance for being here illegally. I think this $600,000.00 is more important than the $10,000.00 the state might lose due to the Kethcup and Mustard Coalition of America canceling their convention!
Levi Bolton is an embarrassment to PLEA. Look at his physical appearance, his stuttering and constant jerking. He looks foolish on television!
Another one considering leaving PLEA unless Jack leaves soon!
