It's been awhile but I'm pretty sure Soha got "jammed up" by the department. I do remember a time when I worked Sky Harbor Precint (now Central City), my squad watched a hooker get into a car at 12th St and Van Buren. It was her third "date", the first two we lost her in the hood. We followed the car and watched it drive down an end street, turned around and parked in front of 323 S. 29th St., facing out toward the only entrance. We moved in on foot to finally arrest the prostitute. When we knocked on the window, the hooker already had a condom opened and in her hand. The driver, jumped out with his SGT badge out and said that he had just picked this girl up because she was acting suspicious and wanted to find out what she was up to. We were ordered to "get a 36 on her and cut her loose". This dedicated off duty Sgt (I'll call him Joe), loved his job so much, that he was subsequently promoted to Lt and worked in Professional Standards Bureau. I still did the "36" card :-)
OH Stanley, tell me this wasn't you! OH, Okay, whoo, but did you have to cover this one up too?
So now that the State has taken Soha's driving privilege away why is he still working. Isn't it interesting that one of Soha's employees has been ordered to pick him up every morning in a City car then take him to work, out to lunch and at the end of the day drive him home. Some punishment! How many of us get punished by having an assigned driver at City expense?
Now knowing this don't you feel safer when he is still assigned to the HomeLand Defense Bureau protecting all of us from Terrorism. Anyone else besides Soha would have been removed from duty and reassigned.
