PSB is well aware that there is a huge case management issue in the City of Phoenix (all detective units). There is ongoing documented proof of this in PSB. Are they sure they want to open that can of worms? The numbers are not hundreds, they are in the thousands...This has been ignored for years and years. Clearly this case is a targeted attempt to retaliate. It would not take a lot of digging, for the digging has been done in PSB. If this does not stop, it will force those in the know to come out with all that they know. It is the right thing to do. Including those in upper management who know with 100% certainty, facts about so much including...for example: the lab.
Well, the promising thing is Stan Hoover has been subject of the department's rath lately so he will most likely be inclined to tell the truth during depositions on all of the lawsuits coming PSBs way.

Haven't you noticed PSB has more lawsuits, contempt from PLEA, internal grief, grievances, and plain inept investigations during the past three years...all under Geo's watch. Do the math! Jack would have done himself well had he transferred Geo out years ago. Put a competent, law abiding, respected, intelligent, ethical commander in PSB like A.B. Smith, Bob Demlong or Glen Gardner. They will clean up the mess in short order and the light will once again shine from the PPD badge!

Dave Faulkner is also a very good man; he just works for an incompetent, bully who talks big but hides from people like Ralph Griffith when Griff was Duty Commander and Pina in Maryvale was afraid to call him on big deals...was afraid of all the questions. Pina had his sergeants make the call. I know first hand this is true!
We need the Griff's, Click's, Brewster's and Sparks back to kick some premodonna ass and get back to fighting crime. While they were not always popular, they never got caught having sex with subordinates, playing kissy face with the same sex, accussed of crimes, taking bribes, double-dipping, covering up crimes involving officers, afraid of the media, etc.
I mean, can you imagine Glen Sparks having a Facebook page?

After reading the entire "Phil" memo, it is a shame no one has done anything about what has happened to Sgt. Roberts.
It has been a pattern in VCB over the last few years. It started with Det. Barnes. The same with Sgt. Vance. Now Sgt. Roberts. All people trying to do the right thing and follow operations orders and report misconduct. Instead, they are all retaliated against, have loss of income, jobs they all loved and excelled at.
This behavior continues under Harris and is allowed to continue with the full support of the city manager, city council and Mayor.
Maybe the phoenix police need to be under a consent decree like LAPD was. LAPD is now considered one of the best in its field again after their house was cleaned. What is it going to take to get PPD back to where it once was. For starters, get rid of Harris and all of his followers.
This department was once a proud place to work. Maybe one day it will be again.

Roberts is no different than any other fucked up supervisor on the Phx PD, except that he just came out of the closet when it comes to diming people out. The others do it covertly behind your back and smile in your face like they are your friend. But Roberts has nothing to lose because his ineptitude is now a public story.

At the Phoenix Police Department Crime Lab there are 309 kits waiting to be screened for the presence of "testable" DNA and one kit that is waiting to be processed for DNA according to the Phoenix Police Department. Turnaround time for DNA in sexual assault kits is on average 138 days. Jody Wolf, Assistant Crime Lab Administrator tells CBS News in an email the oldest kit in the crime lab waiting for testing dates back to October 27, 2005. There are also 4,100 rape kits in the Phoenix Police Department property and evidence storage facilities. The department does not know how many of these kits are tested or untested. These are rape kits where law enforcement has not requested testing.

Ya, just like Jack's mouth wasn't linked to Janet Napolitano's hairy balls when he was trying to suck his way into a position with homeland security.
Face it, PPD looks like shit on this one and possibly put a lot of people at risk. Like the D.P.S. Officers that had to recover these grenades, not to mention the fact that there were grenades that had the capacity to be made live(and very deadly) floating around the streets while the vice president was in town.
