Good, I wuz gettin' worried cuz I never got thru all of them. Anyone hear about a memo Jack the Hack allegedly wrote that may have signifcant misleading statments so he could be reimbursed for a unexpected flight from New Jersy to Phx so he could be in town when Mayor Phil announced to the meddia that Jack was gettin sued? I hear PLEA put in a public records request for it and the city refuses to give it up. What gives? Is this true?
Read the new times article on councilman johnsons arrest. When is new city manager david cavaszos going to realize the PPD is going rogue and make changes? The officer telling the councilman 'thats how we do things down here' is appalling and only one example of how screwed up things are in the PPD. Employee grievances are at a high, employee lawsuits are at a high, commanders are frusterated and tired of getting in trouble for doing there job, assistant chiefs cant stand each other and wont work together, the police chief is being sued by a citizen's group, the police chief will not talk with plea, when does someone make changes? I thought the change in city hall would be good for the city. There have been zero changes and 'business as usual". Its like frank fairbanks never left. We need a police chief who will work with the community, will work with plea, will make sure officers dont arrest citizens like the councilman, will make his executive staff work together. Cmon david cavaszos, do your freakin' job. If you cant, step down and let someone else do it for you.
Good Job side with the councilman before both sides of the story even come out. As a retired officer he knew that police have control over that seen not fire. He tried to go around that and he also knew that if fire did tell him it was okay he would need them to escort him through. I find it hard to believe a 20 plus year vetren doesn't know the difference between being arrested or detained like he was. Maybe if he was busy slapping the officer or wtrestling with him on the ground when he went into custody or wasn't belligerent, this may have been avoided. But no he immediatley calls Jack Harris to yell and holler and then goes to the nes media and claims the officer is a racist. Why is it when a white guy is arrested by a black officer no one screams racisim. But a white officer touches anyone and tat is all it could be. Couldn't possibly be because the person was guilty. Wait till this whole story comes out, if it ever does. The officer should sue the ciyt and councilman.

Sounds like the new city manager David Cavasos is earning his pay at $236,000.00 a year. Shameful!
Harris probably has dirt on Gordon and Cavazos like pictures of them in a "69" or something and that's why they won't do anything about him.
